Description

Join a James Bond Islands day trip from Phuket or Khao Lak and admire the karst region’s unique rock formations, caves and dense patches of mangroves. On our early bird tour, you’ll beat the heat and the crowds and can journey in comfort thanks to air-conditioned minivans and well-maintained speedboats. Set off at dawn and watch the sun’s red glow appear on the horizon. After a short walk through a cave, the hidden, inner lagoon of Koh Panak awaits. Here, you can meet monkeys, hawks, monitor lizards and semi-aquatic amphibians that live in the lagoon's marshy terrain. Your guide will also point out rocks that are shaped like animals including dolphins, dragons, and more. Before you know it, you feel like Roger Moore in the cove of James Bond Island, where “The Man with the Golden Gun” was filmed in the 1970s. The next highlight is the stunning Samet Nangshe viewpoint. Discovered by a photographer, Samet Nangshe overlooks a sea of limestone islets. Fast forward to the tangled mangroves of Tum Lod Nai, where you can sit back on a canoe as a local paddles through the scenery. After these highlights, we’ll head to the Muslim sea gypsy village of Koh Panyee for lunch. Typical dishes include stir-fries and flavourful curries with rice. Before we get back to Phuket, you can relax on the soft white sand of Naka Island or swim in the warm, turquoise sea. Enjoy!
