Your experience begins with convenient hotel pickup and transfer to a bustling local market. Accompanied by your friendly English-speaking chef, you’ll learn how to select the freshest Thai ingredients, including herbs, spices, vegetables, and proteins. Your chef will explain the names, flavors, and uses of each ingredient, giving you insight into what makes Thai cuisine so unique and aromatic. After the market tour, head to the Phuket Thai Cooking Academy. Enjoy a refreshing welcome drink and a short introduction to the day’s recipes. Each guest has their own cooking station with all ingredients and equipment provided. Your chef will first demonstrate each technique step-by-step, including knife skills, stir-frying, curry preparation, and proper seasoning, before you begin cooking your selected dishes. Guests choose from over 16 authentic Thai recipes, creating a personalized experience. Learn to cook favorites like Pad Thai, Tom Yum Goong, green curry, papaya salad, fried rice noodles, and delicious desserts such as mango with sticky rice or deep-fried bananas.
