Begin with a briefing by an expert guide, introducing the elephants you will meet. Learn about their daily care, their mahouts (caretakers), and the differences between captive and wild elephants. Gain insights into how hill tribe families from Mae Wang, Chiang Mai, have settled in Patong, Phuket, continuing their traditional elephant care practices. Understand why Hill Tribe Elephant Village does not allow forced bathing or mud play with elephants. The sanctuary respects natural elephant behaviors, ensuring they enjoy their day on their own terms. In this 30-minute session, you’ll get hands-on with elephant care by preparing their favorite herbal vitamin balls—made from natural ingredients that support their digestion and health. Then, meet the elephants and feed them your handmade treats! It’s a joyful, up-close moment that’s both fun and meaningful. Our team will share insights into elephant nutrition, care, and the deep relationship between elephants and their mahouts.
