Description

This immersive 2.30-hour tour begins at Hill Tribe Elephant Village, a sanctuary created by hill tribe families who have cared for elephants for generations. Located in a forested area behind Patong Beach, the sanctuary is a final home for elephants retired from the tourism industry. Start by learning the personal history of each elephant and their mahout. Then, help prepare herbal medical food—natural nutrition that supports their healing. Next, walk with the elephants into the forest. Here, you’ll observe how elephants behave when free from performance or riding expectations. Our guides will explain their body language, social habits, and how we care for them with respect. This experience is educational, ethical, and unforgettable.
