Boathouse Wine & Grill at Boathouse Resort on the Beach on Kata Beach is considered by many as the island's finest restaurant. Over 26 fine wines including champagne can be ordered by the glass; the wine cellar lists a staggering 750 wines to choose from. And even with a 400% tax and import duty slapped on wines, the Boathouse has succeeded in keeping the prices affordable.
