Phuket: Coral Island Longtail Boat Cruise with Snorkeling
12 ReviewsCome aboard one of the famous Thai longtail boats and cruise to Coral Island, where you'll enjoy snorkeling and swimming in pristine turquoise waters.
One of the most beautiful Buddhist temples in Thailand, Wat Tum Sua is well-worth a day trip to see. Also known as the Tiger Cave Temple because there was a tiger living in one of the caves when it was initially founded by Ajarn Jumnien Silsettso, the temple serves as a centre at which monks mediate and worship. The most interesting thing about the centre is that it is set within limestone caves in a jungle valley. Visitors may explore the caves passing from one chamber to the next and see the meditation halls, small caves, stupas and altars where one can make offerings. There are places to buy Jatukum amulets which are made at the temple as well as other amulets, cases, and souvenirs such as charms, necklaces and bracelets.
Although the climb of 1,237 steps to the top of a 260 meter high mountain peak might be very long and tiring, it is well worth it after visiting with a reward of a 360° view of Krabi and the surrounding area. It's best to go before sunset and then stay to enjoy the final moments of daylight. To avoid dehydration, bring lots of water as the climb is long and hot.
