Mama Mia, pizza to die for! Tucked in a small soi in Chalong, Agli Amici is a pizzeria and pasta place that has the earned the reputation as having some of the best pizza on the island and at very resonable prices.
Agli Amici is housed a small shophouse style building with a minimal no frills décor. It is run by two Italian pizza masters, Michele and Jimmy.
The thin crust pizza is cooked in a real Italian wood-fired oven and served fresh and hot out of the oven in three sizes to eat in the restaurant or to take away. A sampling of pizzas from the 46-item pizza menu are the Ivan with mozzarella, tomato, mushroom, bacon and salami, Proscuitto e funghi with mozzarella, tomato sauce, ham and mushrooms, Amici with mozzarella, blue cheese, onion and walnuts and the Caprese with mozzarella, cherry tomato and rocket salad. Yummy! Don't forget thre's more.
Although pizza may be the main choice amongst diners, Agli Amici also serves pasta, salads and dessert. The tiramisu is a favourite!
