La Gritta at the Amari Phuket in Patong, is notable for its contemporary, yet authentic Italian cuisine and excellent wine cellar, in an exotic bayside setting. One of the most romantic spots to dine in, the restaurant provides a superb location, to relax and unwind, watch the sunset, while enjoying the cool sea breeze.
The menu includes a wide selection of gourmet pizzas, handmade pastas and delectable desserts.
Dinner guests will enjoy a variety of delectable items from the dinner menu. Recommended dishes are: Appetisers & Brushcetta include Carpaccio Manzo (Beef carpaccio, smoked eggplant, puree, Pecorino romano cheese & mixed leaves), Trancio Di Tonno Al Sesamo Nero (Grilled tuna with orange & fennel salad, citrus oil dressing) and Bruschetta Al Crostino (Bruschetta with buffalo mozzarella & anchovy).
Signature Antipasti Trestles, that are perfect for sharing around the table. Trestles include warm bread, mixed olives, pesto & assorted marinated vegetables: Misto (Marinated vegetables, mixed cold cuts & selected seafood); Insalata Di Bottarage (Sardinian fregola, organic cherry tomato, cucumber & mint with pecorino shavings); Frutti Di Mare (Baked oysters, fresh & cured selected seafood); Caprese Della Casa (Organic local tomatoes, Phuket buffalo mozzarella, aged Balsamic jelly and basil).
Recommended soups to try are Minestrone with fresh garden vegetables and Porcini with Alba truffle paste & cream. Risotto dishes include Funghi Selvatici Truffle paste with Taleggio cheese and Risotto Ai Fruitti Di Mare (Mixed Andaman Seafood).
For pasta dishes, choose from spaghetti, penne, tagliatelli and pappardelle with dishes such as: Spaghetti Alla Siciliana (Char grilled fresh sardines with capers & bread crumbs) and Ragout Di Anatra with spinach, slow roasted duck, wild mushrooms, broad beans & pappardelle pasta.
Steaks and seafood can be BBQd on the grill and served with a choice of sauce. As for Mains, choose from dishes such as Scaloppine Di Vitello (Veal loin, truffle cream sauce, wild mushroom, pumpkin gnocchi); Agnello a la Romana (Slow cooked lamb rump, pistachio crumb, pancetta); Cernia al Forno (Whole baked seabass, fennel, olives & potatoes, grappa sauce); and Bistecca Fiorentina (T-bone steak, with any 2 side dishes & mushroom truffle sauce).
The seaside terrace is open from 10 to midnight and the dining room from 6pm to midnight.
