'Phuket Modern Art' is a Phuket art gallery that displays a distinctive style of painting by Suthirak Chantragun. Reminiscent of the 'painterly style' with heavily applied layers of paint that are applied using brush and trowel and splashing, his works are dynamic and original. Bold and bright colours on large canvases characterise his work and he sometimes uses other media.
An unconventional gallery, BYD Lofts in Patong forms the centre of his artistic activity with his pictures spreading from the lobby to the restaurant, hallways and staircases, illuminating the areas of the boutique apartment building.
Look for his work in major hotels, top restaurants, and residences in Phuket and internationally. He has had successful exhibitions both locally and overseas, notably Sydney and Melbourne Art exhibitions.
