The Blue Elephant Governor Mansion Phuket Cooking School & Restaurant offers extraordinary cooking classes at a more than a century old elegant and historical mansion in Old Phuket Town. Learn how to cook authentic Thai cuisine - 'Thai Cooking of the Past', 'Thai Cuisine of Today', and 'Thai Kitchen of Tomorrow' taught by instructors trained by Nooror Somany Steppé, a founder of the Blue Elephant chain.
Morning classes begin with a trip to the local market to select and buy Thai ingredients with a chef/instructor. You'll learn how to select the herbs, spices, vegetables, meats and seafood necessary to prepare everything from starters and soups to main courses and side dishes as well as sauces and pastes. You will prepare four dishes in the morning class and five in the afternoon. Note there is no trip to the market during the afternoon course.
Students receive a complimentary apron and will graduate with a Blue Elephant Cooking Class Certificate and will receive a basket which includes Thai herbal tea and curry paste.
