Casual terrace, elegant modern inside restaurant serving tapas from around the world. Thai food includes noodles, curries and kao soi (Friday and Saturday).
A hidden gem next to Villa Market in Cherngtalay, whether for a capuccino, mixed tapas, a steak or a variety of salads this is a good meeting spot for locals, serving draft lager and a variety of cocktails. The live guitar music after 7:30pm from Monday to Saturday creates a nice atmosphere.
One couldn't help but feel you'd stepped out of Phuket and into a completely different place. A new restaurant in new street, but one with plenty of character which the owners Busaba and Robert have turned into something very special with a choice of air-conditioned inside or alfresco for people watchers!
The kitchen is open to the dining area through large glass windows so that you can watch the chef at work, there is a comfortable lounge area to relax and enjoy a coffee and a small bar for pre-dinner drinks.
Aside from serving excellent food in stylish surrounding, from 8pm, Divino also entertains; a singer and acoustic guitarist create a pleasant, yet unobtrusive, ambiance - one that does not interfere with conversation.
What else is unusual about Divino? Well it's probably the only restaurant in Phuket where you can book an air ticket and hotels whilst enjoying a meal. Busaba and Robert also own a travel agency Albatross City Center, just above the restaurant.
