Phuket now boasts seven world-class golf courses of 9 and 18 holes with varying obstacles and challenges. In addition to pro shops, cart and accessory rentals, clubs may offer facilities such as swimming pools, tennis courts, etc.

What were once the locations of tin mines (see the History and Culture section) are now the turfs of golf courses, some of which have seen professional tournaments such as Johnnie Walker Classics and pro golfers such as Tiger Woods and Greg Norman.
