Visit Khao Lak, an elephant sanctuary, and a sea turtle center on this adventurous day trip from Phuket. Try bamboo rafting, elephant bathing, and Thai food during lunch at a local restaurant. Swim and relax at Lampi Waterfall. Get picked up by air-con vehicle and English-speaking guide, take off from Phuket and head north to Khao Lak, passing Sarasin Bridge and entering Phang Nga Province. Enjoy sightseeing from the car along the 1.5-hour drive. Arrive at Kiang Koo Creek for peaceful bamboo rafting downstream. Enjoy the natural surroundings along the creek, then drive to Khao Lampi-Hat Thai Mueang National Park. Visit the Sea Turtle Center at Tablamu Navy Base, where sea turtles are taken care of. Refuel with a Thai lunch at a local restaurant. Later, arrive at an ethical elephant camp (no riding allowed). Watch and join in the natural behavior of elephants, including bathing and feeding them.
