Modelled on the English pub chain of the same name, The Slug N' Lettuce in Phuket is owned and run by Phanpat 'Ott' Khanchanakub who spent 10 years in the United Kingdom as head of a catering team, which ran 250 pubs and restaurants.
Khun 'Ott' describes the food as 'homestyle, simple' English pub food that is modelled around the British 'gastro pub' craze or high-end pub food.
Special and noteworthy dishes include beer-battered fish and chips, steak and mushroom pie, baked Camembert served with tomato and ginger chutney and a Sunday roast with Yorkshire pudding and all the extras. There's also some outstanding desserts as well!
